More on the Message – January 2

What would make you happy in 2011?

Many people have what they think they want and need, yet have a nagging sense of being unhappy.

Nathaniel Hawthorne once wrote, “happiness is a butterfly which, when pursued, is always beyond our grasp, but which if you will sit down quietly, may alight upon you.”

Do you agree with Hawthorne?  Or do you think that you can acquire or a achieve something that will really make you happy?

If you agree with Hawthorne, what would it look like to “sit down quietly?”

Over the next 3 weeks at Orchard Hill we will explore Psalms 1 and 2 and consider what it would really look like to be happy.

Read Psalm 1 and 2 and write down everything you think that these Psalms say about being happy.  This will prepare you for the remaining  messages in the coming weeks.
